Power to the People
Dear O’Hare Airport,
One of the nicest and most useful things you could do for those of us who pass through your airport (especially regularly) is add more power outlets. Everywhere. Blanket the gates in outlets, and make sure they’re working. Please. Even your own security guards could use them.

We realize, ORD, that you have these “Plug-in” bars but they are usually completely full — with people waiting for an outlet pointing out the dire need for outlets described in this post! Thanks for listening!

I love the new charging stations that Southwest has added to their gates. 6 stools around a bar with plenty of outlets (6 each side) as well as 2 USB charging ports.

One of the nicest things you can do when you are traveling: bring along a strip, or a PowerSquid. When you find an outlet, give access to five other people. If someone is already using an outlet, maybe he will let you insert the strip to add yourself. Buy him a Coke.

Indeed! Many more outlets.
And live outlets, please. Always a crash to find an outlet, only to discover it’s been disconnected, or not powered up.
I fly a great deal, and have realized a sort of airport map by location of outlets. Detroit, Burlington, Dulles, LaG., O’Hare.
