2003 Gift Ideas
- Firewire Dino -- I only have one Firewire device, but this thing would look so awesome on my desk! There's also a Hello Kitty USB hub, but Hubzilla just looks so much more cool!
- Power Joy III - I bought my brother the Atari 10-in-1 Games for Christmas last year and he loved it. This one has more than 100 games in it (if you can find it in stock)! And now I see that there's an Activision 10-in-1 Games, too! Of course, you have to be old enough to appreciate them....
- I bought Ellula's inflatable speakers for Clare last year, and she said they're pretty cool. Great for traveling.
- Radio Shack currently has a couple of goodies - 1) the Find-One Find-All Keyfinder for locating lost keys and remotes, and 2) FoneFree, which lets you hear calls on your cell phone through your car's stereo speakers.
- The Switchblade Screwdriver looks interesting.
- You can never, ever, ever go wrong with the card game Apples to Apples. It is the best game ever, bar none. You'll just have to trust me.
- I'll probably say I'm buying the Space Theater Planetarium for the kids, but it would really be for me.
- I was getting pretty close to buying a Pod for carrying around stuff, even though I've now combined cell phone and PDA in one device.
- Depending on which cell phone you use, the Zip-LINQ charger could be pretty handy. Dan Gillmor highlighted it recently and swears by it.
- For software, I like Replay-Radio. Take your favorite internet shows or streams with you on your MP3 player! This one I have and I love it.
- The Columbia 2-Way FRS/GMRS Wrist Watch Radio 2-pack would be easier to carry around than the full size handhelds.
- How many times have I wished for something like the Sidewinder Cell Phone Charger?
- If I still listened to the radio, I'd want the Homer Radio. Other cool stuff from Urban Outfitters: Leg Lamp Lightstring, Cheech and Chong Lightstring, and HeatMiser and SnowMiser bobbleheads!
- And ironically, I'm seeing full size DVD players for as low as $30, so they actually make great gifts because who can't use a DVD player?!
