The Web Editorial Board has asked us to make a recommendation for where to put the "follow us" icons on the home page and which ones to use. To start the discussion, I’ll propose using icons for Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.

I don’t have a Twitter "counter-proposal" so much as a desire to revisit an idea previously proposed. At the June 10 meeting, we sort of agreed on the following recommendations and asked those who couldn’t attend the meeting to chime in on Connect.

Although there are hundreds of media monitoring tools available online, some are very hard to find. We put together a collection of 100 such sources (software, applications and service providers), some free, some that require a fee. When it comes to media monitoring and analytics, it’s really hard to choose. Some offer in-depth features, but the price is too high; those that are free are not always that complete, or fast enough, or in-depth enough.

"To my delight, I found this recipe from Experience Life. I love that it asks for coconut milk rather than heavy cream, making it healthy and vegan! And that it asks for chipotle–combining sweet and spicy is always a great idea to me!"

Published How We Vote.

Even though this was included in the September 9, 2010 Meeting Notes, I wanted to pull it out separately so that it’s easy to find and point to when new folks join the group or when we need to refer back to it.
At the 9/9/10 meeting, we decided to use the "gradients of agreement" approach to move work forward.

The spectrum of voting in this scale is:

Endorse — Agree with some concerns — Abstain — Disagree but will go along — Block
