They're for librarians, which is pretty unique. I've seen lots of inspirational t-shirts for the profession, but fewer practical items like this one. Dan, sure it's a notepad, and sure I could buy one that says something like "Big Ideas" on it to keep handy for those little epiphanies. However, I really like the idea of having one that makes me stop and think about "Big Ideas for Libraries." For both of you, obviously your mileage may vary. No one says you have to find these cool or even useful. But several of us do, and I can tell you that every time I see mine, it makes me smile and it helps me think about what else I can do to help with Creating (the) Future (of) Libraries. If you don't find this particular notepad inspiring, I'd love to see what other kinds of things you'd come up with that would affect others. Or not. However, I completely fail to understand what is so cool about this particular item. Could you perhaps elaborate? Because to me, it's a notebook that has the word libraries on it and would not necessarily inspire anyone to give a **** about libraries to any greater extent than they already are. So why are these beyond awesome? I am clearly missing something. I am a librarian and I am all for promoting libraries and library-related merchandise.
