<description>Oh, this sounds like fun! Wish I could be there, but I&#039;m flying back from the DC area that day and can&#039;t make it. I&#039;m going to see if someone from my library will come and see how it works. We&#039;ve been thinking about starting a foundation and this might be a good fundraising idea.

We have a mini-golf place in town. Has Rick&#039;s group ever solicited help from that type of business? Looks like a natural tie-in, especially if he does winter tournaments when he could borrow putters from the local mini-putt, and the business could hand out coupons and be a sponsor.

Neat idea.

Note that I would never have realized this was even happening except that:

1. I attended the Illinois Library Assocation Trustee Forum on 2/28
2. Michael Stephens was the main speaker in the morning session
3. His presentation got me into trying Twitter
4. Looking at his Twitter info I spotted your shifted name and looked you up
5. I know you slightly from being on the ALA Advisory Committee representing ALTA/now ALTAFF
6. I decided to follow you
7. You mentioned an intriguing event title in a tweet
8. I guessed that the DGPL in the title was the Downers Grove Library (I lived in DG 1972-1976) and was curious
9. I clicked on the URL and found this entry

If I had not gone for the Trustee Forum, I&#039;d never have heard about Library Mini-Golf. Now my entire life may be changed!

Enjoy the event and I hope to read about it next week.
