Excellent post. Wonderful advice. Intelligent ideas. I have been active in instructional design / instructional technology for many years. I have great respect for anyone participating in the evolution of technology regardless of career title. I posit that the brand 'librarian' is betraying those who operate within that brand. Infomration Technology is actively changing the value proposition, and as important the 'brand' label to Business Technology. Just saying. Be well and advance the cause.

Great post. I also remember what my mother has always said: Good things come to those who wait. I had to wait a couple years, but we've finally got a dean who gets it. I see great progress in our future!

Sing it! I think we all can use this kind of pep talk now and then for all of us regardless of position. Maybe we're a librarian dealing with a difficult manager, maybe we're a manager dealing with a difficult bigger manager and maybe we're even a director dealing with a diffucult board, or simply the available funds from our town for us...

Thank you!
