Links to Presentations

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, but I’ve had the pleasure of giving a flurry of presentations that I promised attendees I’d link to from here. I love that the Illinois educators I spoke to at the end of February were just as enthusiastic as the Dutch librarians who attended my presentations in the Netherlands. Thank you to everyone who came to them all and helped make this a very special time for me.

I’m still uploading pictures from the Netherlands trip on Flickr, but I will definitely post about the amazing Delft and Amsterdam libraries I had the great fortune to visit (special Flickr sets to appear online soon).

  1. I really was impressed of your presentation on “Tagging” on March 7th. in The Hague. Slide after slide triggered me
to acknowledge the (growing) importance of tagging. It supports to my opinion the exchange of “thoughts” and to get notice
of other person’s “associations made” and “ideas” without (physically) knowing them. It provides enough ‘food for thoughts’
and another way of generating input to the development of concepts on “communication and sharing knowledge” by means of
    (unstructured) information and (structured) data.
That is what it did to me - thanks a lot!

  2. Hey Jenny,

It was nice to have you and Eli around here! I loved the presentations of both of you.
Plenty of colorful pics you made. Visitors see other things than we :-)

And just wondering: a podcast was being made too. Was that for the ALA?

    Enjoy a well deserved rest!

  4. Edwin, I don’t know who made the podcast. Erik and Jaap might know, and I’m sure the video will be available at some point. It was great to see you again!

  5. Hi, Kathryn Deiss made the podcast. At least she interviewed me and some other librarians. Check http://tinyurl.com/3bdzrf

Didn’t talk with you but enjoyed your presentation.
Did you like our ‘frieten’? ;-)
