iCrazy for the iTunes

Online Music Selling Like Hotcakes

"Apple just announced they sold 3.3 million songs in 7 days on the iTunes Music Store. To put this in perspective, the entire top ten of the Billboard music chart is tracking just over 2 million units. If anyone in the music industry doubted that people would ever want to pay for music online, Apple's recent sales explosion clearly points out that it's here to stay." [Creative Commons: weblog]

Now just imagine if you could borrow some of these from your local library....

2 Fast 2 Furious Texting

The World Record for Fastest Text Messaging

"Setting a world speed record for the one skill that we hope will become obsolete in the very near future, James Trusler has emerged as the world’s fastest text messager, tapping out, 'The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human' on his cellphone in a mere 67 seconds, shaving nearly a minute off of the previous record. [Via TechDirt]" [Engadget]

Adults everywhere are shaking their head in dismay that anyone could text that fast. Of course, it's not like that record is going to last all that long, especially given the fact that the Nintendo Game Boy Advance is getting a text messaging add-on.
